Gajser will have his hands full at the next GP, which will be held at Valkenswaard, Herling’s home track. “I’m just disappointed for my first race as I crashed twice, but at the second race I had a good start from the beginning, I made a quite comfortable win.” “Overall I’m super happy to finish on the podium,” Gajser said. I made a 1-2, we have improved a lot also as a team as my bike is getting better and better.” “I said I did not need to win every GP this year, but it was a good day. “Definitely there is no better way to start the season than to start with a win,” Herlings said. Herlings managed to get around his teammate, Antonio Cairoli, for second place, which was more than enough to claim the day’s overall victory over Gajser. ![]() Gajser, however, bounced back in the second moto, jumping into the early lead and running off with the win, while Herlings spent much of the race making up for a bad start. However, Gajser looked strong while battling near the front of the pack before falling on the last lap and dropping to eighth, while Herlings took the win 11 seconds clear of runner-up Jeremy Seewer (Yamaha) of Sweden. Unfortunately for Gajser, a couple of falls in the first moto ruined his bid to start of the season with the overall win. Off the track, Dylan is one of the nicest guys in the pits. Even though the Frenchman, Dylan Ferrandis has made a bad reputation for himself in the states, he is a true competitor that lays it all on the line. However, he didn’t allude to what team it would be. As for Jeremy Martin, he said in the post race interview that he will be moving up a class and be on a different color bike. Ferrandis won both series’ he raced in 2020 which got him a factory 450 ride for the 2021 season. Dylan was a fierce competitor and outraced Martin. It was a battle between Dylan Ferrandis and the 2-time 250 National champion, Jeremy Martin throughout the series of racing. When he found his home at the Rockstar Husky team, Zach hit his stride and the rest is history. ![]() That got him trying to find a ride back in the states. That pushed him to race in Europe for many years until his age would have pushed him up to the MX1 class which he says he wasn’t ready for. But when his results didn’t shine on big bikes he was struggling to find a ride in the US. Maybe 30 has become to new 20? Any way you cut it, Zach has cut his teeth for years. ![]() 31 doesn’t seem that old, but in motocross years he is a true veteran. At the ripe age of 31 years old, Zach is the oldest rider to win a 450 National title. Zach Osborne wins his first 450 National title.
